Prospect: Rooderand

Located: The Rooderand Prospect is located north of the Pilanesberg intrusion in the Northwest Province, 60km north of Rustenburg. This project has an aerial extent in excess of 500ha and has the following features:

• This project contains 1.1km confirmed UG2 open cut potential outcrop;
• A potential open pit resource of 1.1Moz 3PGE+Au to a depth of 85m has been inferred for the project; and
• A favorable UG2 Pt:Pd prill split in excess of 2:1.

Resource: From exploration undertaken to date, Nkwe has achieved a resource base as summarized below. This includes resources within the Merensky, upper and lower Pseudo and UG2 reefs:

Rooderand Project Area mineral resources

These resources have been calculated by Nico Bleeker, an employee of Nkwe and is for 100% of the project. Nkwe’s BEE consortium holds a 26% stake, with 74% of the above resource base directly attributable to Nkwe Platinum Ltd. 

Note : This resource statement pertains to the entire tenement area, from surface outcrop to the ultimate UG2 depth of 500m.

Prospect: Ruighoek

Located : The 2,500ha farm Ruighoek under application is located 5km south-west of Nkwe’s Rooderand Prospect. Nkwe’s interest in Ruighoek is held under a series of old order Applications giving Nkwe the right to acquire up to 55/100ths of the old order mineral rights over the prospect.

Resource : As per the Rooderand Prospect, four PGE bearing horizons are present on this project area, being the Merensky, Pseudo and UG2 reefs. From historically sampled UG2 exposures, grades of between 4.5 and 8.1g/t 3PGE+Au have been found on the property.
