Project: Kliprivier

Location: Kliprivier is located near the southern end of the eastern limb of the Bushveld complex, immediately south of the Everest South Platinum Mine (Aquarius Platinum). Nkwe holds 3,300ha. This project contains in excess of 6km of outcrop strike length and has the following features:

  • This project contains a potential UG2 open pit strike length in excess of 6km;
  • A wide secondary Chromitite layer (average 0.6m width) is immediately below the UG2 throughout the property, with a parting of less than 30cm to no more than 10m;
  • A UG2 Pt:Pd prill split of 1.5:1; and
  • Additional consolidation potential with Tinderbox project 10km to the south of this project.

Resource: Following on from its first round of deeper drilling undertaken, Nkwe undertook a shallower second phase drilling campaign in 2005, resulting in a resource upgrade for this project, as illustrated below:

This Resource and Target mineralization was calculated by Nico Bleeker, an employee of Nkwe and is for 100% of the project. Nkwe's BEE consortium holds a 26% stake, with 69% of the above resource base directly attributable to Nkwe Platinum Ltd.

Note: Current exploration drilling has returned sporadic values for the Merensky reef, although high grade individual intersections of up to 9g/t 3PGE+Au have been obtained.

Milestone:

1st Q 06

:

Resource and geological structure upgrade of the project.

4th Q 06

:

Consolidate holdings in an attempt to commercialize the resource base.
